About
I am an industrial designer who enjoys working at the boundary between machines and everyday objects currently based in California.
Some of my projects are driven by a fascination with driving and mechanical systems, such as motorcycles, experimental vehicle concepts, and an AE86 based kit car idea. Others start from ordinary situations in daily life, leading to objects like a PC case sized to fit inside an IKEA Kallax cube, a household can recycling bin, or a pepper spray designed to be easier for women to carry without added psychological pressure.
I am interested in how constraints shape form. A project may begin with a manufacturing process such as aluminum extrusion, a recycled material like construction vehicle tires, or a simple spatial limit.
Moving between these different contexts is an important part of my practice. Designing machines and designing small domestic objects are not separate worlds to me. Both are ways of thinking about how people interact with tools, materials, and technology.
